The street-facing room was quite loud, especially at night. Don't expect any lifts. Getting to the rooms requires climbing stairs, which could be a hassle for those with mobility issues.

The atmosphere at Garoupas Inn felt really welcoming, almost like

hospitality fail

i truly expected more from garoupas inn, especially given the rave reviews. the no lift situation was absurd, not to mention the room lacked a fridge for my chilled wine. plus, a welcoming gift would have been nice, but i guess they reserve that for their favorite guests. hence, can't give more than a mediocre rating.
